Monday 24/11:
Received a text from Boots pharmacy. Was called for an interview on Wednesday. Need to visit a local Boots store to check out the efficiency of promotional strategies. Hmm, sounds pretty fun at least Im back to my favourite business stuff. But not particularly ecstatic about it. Mainly because the chances of getting the job are probably thinner than my dandruff flakes.
Tuesday 25/11:
A busy day indeed. Waking up at 8 from last night's bad sleep makes it difficult for me to stay fresh, sharp and alert. Argh but life still has to go on no matter what shit I've encountered! Headed for Boots and its competitor - Superdrugs in Kensington high street around 9.30am. Did some analysis. Boots really sucks at its promotion. No new excitements, old lame buy 1 get 1 free and 3 for 2 mix& match. Got so deviated from its core business as a pharmacy. Bombarded with vanity boxes and leeching money mainly from blonde with big boobies + small brain.
Wednesday 26/11:
Went to NHS 1 hour before my phone interview. Feeling very unwell and overworried about the pain. Stupid NHS was running late and had to leave before my turn for that bloody phone interview. 4.45pm. Phone call came in. 'Have you worked with Boots before?' 'No'. 'Good. Do you have a work permit beyond 2012?' 'Sorry, no. Im holding a student visa and wiill apply a work permit after that.' 'Sorry, I couldn't proceed to the interview because we will only consider candidates already with work permit. Bye.' WTH =.=''
Thursday 27/11:
Stupid Stella couldn't do simple dilution factors. Depressed. Depressed. So f***ing depressed.
ICBS showed a video on Ajahn Brahms' talk. Take-home-message:
- Do not be judgemental nor a control freak. Upon excessive control, he or she will only end up to be more skillful on how not to get caught by you. Yep, stupid Stella should stop being judgemental. Loving kindness and compassion are urgently in need.
- Be rebellious in a different way! Do not let others' perceptions to put a control over your life. Be yourself, get your own happiness! Live your life for yourself. So yea, Stella shouldn't give a damn for not being a smart ass in Biochemistry. Eventhough she sucks at it to the max!
- Extra bit: Annoy me as much as you like! Im just gonna curse you for FLEAS OF A THOUSAND CAMELS TO INFEST YOUR ARMPITS!
Friday 28/11:
Work! Work! Work! More calculations on dilutions. More burgers frying in the catering. More lecture notes to go through. More annoyances and irritations to get.
Saturday 29/11:
Finally some fun stuff! Took a student guide role and gave a tour to prospective Life Sciences students in the afternoon. Felt so great talking to people. My english is not that bad after all, heeeee!! O ya, happy to see angelic Miss Ade again. Ade is such a wonderful girl and to me, she is just perfect in everything - be it academic/social/personality. And she is sooooo cute too! Ah, lucky Mr Chong-U!
Some people were just born to be an angel to people around them. They stir no negative feelings but sprinkle joy all over. So glad I've met some of them. Ade and Miss yih lin Goh are definitely 2 of them. Feel so blessed to have angels around especially in this final-year hell.
End of the week denotes the start of another brand-new week. Hope everything goes better, smoother and may I be less stupider, if not, smarter. Bless me. Please.
